Meet the Team

Steph Redhead

Steph is the Founder and Director of BraveGirl and is on a mission to strengthen the women of the world so they can live their lives with courage and confidence no matter what circumstances they are facing.

Her background is in youth ministry where she has worked as a youth pastor and then as a youth advisor in both national and regional capacities.

She lives in Christchurch with her husband and three children.

Georgie Johnson

Georgie is the Executive Manager of BraveGirl. With a passion to see women be all they were designed to be, she is dedicated to the work of BraveGirl.

With a background in leadership, administration, event and project management, she provides support to Steph in all areas of the organisation.

Georgie currently lives in sunny Adelaide Australia.

Nicky Geldard

Nicky is a writer and speaker, passionate about studying the Bible and sharing what she learns. She will be using her passion and skills to develop Bible studies and resources for BraveGirl.

Nicky initially trained to be a journalist, then worked for a mission organisation, went teaching, became a mum and now is the Communications Coordinator for 24-7YW.

For the last six years, Nicky has also been involved in an intensive bible study group. She loves seeing the connection between the Old and New Testaments, knowing that the author of it all has been sending His message of hope to generation after generation. A lover of stories, this is her preferred method of communication, believing that stories not only engage the listener but they reveal truth too.

Nicky is married to Jay and they have three kids. Coffee, walks, great conversation and lots of laughter refresh and inspire the Geldard family (NB: the kids don’t drink coffee).

Jessica Canning

Jessica is the BraveGirl intern. She is passionate about serving Jesus and has joined the team to learn, serve, and develop her skills in event management.

Jess has a background in ministry camping, where she has served in a variety of roles and moved through to leadership and coordinating of youth ministry camps in both North and South Island and in the US.

Jess is excited about serving in woman's ministry having been surrounded by strong women her whole life who have shaped and developed her into the person she is today.  After starting her internship in the deep end with our conferences she is ecstatic to now be apart of the Brave Girl team.

She recently moved to Christchurch to begin studies in applied management and plans on applying what she learns to BraveGirl Ministry.
